Terms of Service

Kaizen Prep helps aspirants upload answers, get AI rubric feedback, chat on evaluations, and generate flashcards.

We are not affiliated with UPSC, any state PSC, or coaching institutes. Feedback is automated — not official marking or score prediction.

You must be able to form a binding contract under Indian law. Sign in with Google; you are responsible for activity on your account.

Do not share your account or use the Service unlawfully.

Prepaid credit wallet. Buy packs in INR via Razorpay. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.

1 credit ≈ ₹1 at list price. Current costs:

• UPSC answer evaluation: 14 credits (≈ ₹14) per submission - includes follow-up chat on that evaluation.
• Follow-up chat on an evaluation: 0 credits, capped at 10 user messages per evaluation.
• AI flashcard deck generation: 5 credits (≈ ₹5) per generation. Reviewing existing decks is free.
• AI MCQ explanation: 2 credits (≈ ₹2) when that feature is available.
• Mock interview: 60 credits (≈ ₹60) when that feature is available.
• New accounts may receive starter credits on sign-up. The amount is shown in your wallet.
• Credit packs (Starter, Popular, Pro) and their rupee prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.

When you start a paid action, we reserve credits from your available balance until the job completes.

If OCR or evaluation fails due to a system error on our side, reserved credits are released - you are not charged for that failed attempt.

Payment confirmation and credit grants happen only after a verified payment webhook from our provider. A successful payment redirect alone does not grant credits.

You may upload your own questions and answers (typed or photographed). Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, illegal material, or content that infringes others’ rights.

You may not attempt to reverse-engineer prompts, abuse rate limits, automate bulk submissions to evade fair use, or resell Service output as official coaching material without permission.

Feedback is generated by large language models and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated facts. Always verify important claims against standard sources and your own preparation material.

Topper similarity comparisons are illustrative patterns generated by AI - not copies of actual topper answer booklets unless explicitly stated in a specific report.

Prepaid credit packs are generally non-refundable once credits are granted, except where required by applicable law or where we fail to deliver a paid action and release was not applied correctly.

If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us within 7 days with your order reference.

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service (OCR, evaluation, storage for your history, and support).

Our software, branding, and rubric design remain our property.

We may modify features, credit prices, pack catalog, or these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose abuse or security risk.

The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, exam outcomes, or decisions you make based on AI feedback. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
