Kaizen Prep

Privacy Policy

How Kaizen Prep handles your data.

Last updated: 10 September 2025

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account data: name, email address, and profile information from Google Sign-In.
  • Content you submit: questions, typed answers, photographs of answer sheets, and flashcard topics or source text.
  • Usage data: evaluation history, scores, chat messages on evaluations, flashcard decks, credit wallet balance, and ledger entries.
  • Payment data: order IDs and payment status from Razorpay. We do not store full card or UPI credentials - those are handled by the payment provider.
  • Technical data: logs, IP address, browser type, and error reports needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to:

  • Authenticate you and maintain your account.
  • Run OCR on uploaded images and generate rubric evaluations, chat replies, and flashcards.
  • Manage your credit wallet, orders, and payment confirmations.
  • Show your evaluation history and progress charts.
  • Monitor abuse, enforce rate limits, and improve reliability.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. AI and third-party processing

Text and images are sent to AI providers for OCR, scoring, chat, and flashcards. You are billed per action, not per token.

Google handles sign-in; Razorpay handles payments. Each has its own privacy policy.

4. Storage and retention

Your evaluations, uploads, and chat history are stored so you can revisit reports. We retain data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward unless you request deletion or we are required to keep records for legal reasons.

You may request deletion of your account and associated content by contacting us. Some billing records may be retained as required by law.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us run the product (hosting, AI, payments), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not make your uploaded answers public unless you explicitly choose a sharing feature we offer in the future.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use the Service at your own risk for highly sensitive content.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable law (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act where it applies), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or withdraw consent for certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Children

The Service is intended for exam aspirants who can consent to data processing under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate consent.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
